As proud citizens of Ghent, we share many things, a boundless love for our children and grandchildren, a passion for Italy. But also the appetite for entrepreneurship. The dream of creating a warm and welcoming place has existed for a long time.

The search began 4 years ago, with many trips back and forth, always with high expectations, but no property could charm us. Until in the summer of 2021, in the middle of a small village (Spigno Monferrato), we stumbled upon a large house, a Palazzo as they call it in Italy, a beautiful 200-year-old building. This was once a monastery, police station, but above all a warm traditional family home. Nothing would stop us from bringing this project to a successful end, certainly not the travel restrictions due to corona. Much had to be arranged remotely, but despite the difficulties, a year later we became the proud owners of this impressive property.

Awe for the building, but also awe for all the love we received from the people in the village, one big warm family that quickly took us in. 

 

We wanted to continue and preserve this family feeling, traveling between Belgium and Piedmont with a car full of household goods and heads full of ideas, we began this story. From now on, it will be your story…
